What’s New for 2025?

What You Need to Know

We are proud to present your 2025 benefits. Take time to explore the new and enhanced plans and programs for the coming year.

BCBS Medical Plans

Both BCBS plans will include the following benefit enhancements for 2025:

Prescription Drug Cost-Share Assistance Program

As a participant in the BCBS PPO plan for 2025, you can take advantage of a new prescription drug co-pay assistance program, available through PillarRx.

If you take an eligible medication, as determined by BCBS, you’ll receive a mailing directly from BCBS on how to enroll in the program.

Once you’re enrolled, prescription drug manufacturers’ coupons will automatically apply to the cost of your eligible medications when you fill them at a retail pharmacy. You’ll typically pay between $0 to $35, depending on the medication.

If you decide to opt out of this program, you’ll be responsible for paying 30% of the full retail cost of eligible medications.

View the list of eligible medications or visit Blue Cross of Massachusetts, select Cost-Share Assistance under My Medications, then Eligible Medications.

Mind and Body Benefit

BCBS members are eligible to receive a $300 reimbursement per family per calendar year for holistic health treatments, such as massage therapy, tai chi, etc.

Remember, BCBS members are also eligible to receive reimbursement up to $150 per family per year for eligible fitness expenses and up to $150 per family per year for eligible weight-loss expenses. Get more information from the reimbursement fact sheet.

Redesigned MyBlue App

The enhanced app offers easier access to claims and benefit information, including a digital ID card that’s easier to share and add to your digital wallet. Download the app now from the App Store or Google Play.

Save even more

You may also save up to 30% when you use alternative health practitioners in the BCBS network who are accredited in their field and meet specific requirements for education, training, and facilities.
